Connecticut Against Violence Welcome Kool DJ Red Alert to Hip Hop Summit 2018

It was the City Of Bridgeport and Connecticut Against Violence 3rd Annual Hip Hop Expression of Black History Month Summit. The Theme "When it was Hip-Hop".  Kool DJ Red Alert who is considered one of the founding father of Hip-Hop music was welcome to the Mayor office and City Hall with open arms. As Red Alert was welcome, He too welcomes the children with love. Giving them tips and feedback on his lifetime achievements in his career of 35 years.

The purpose of the summit was not only to bring the community together but to show appreciation to some of the most significant artists in Hip-Hop music who pave the way for the current generation. CAV having Kool DJ Red Alert as apart of the summit is iconic, he has appeared in over fourth music videos,  Rolling Stone Magazine consider him as one of the 50 most influential people in music, and not mention he's in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. Red Alert Fame came from 98.7 Kiss-FM and also know for the DJ who broken Dancehall into the mainstream. "CAV Found it as an honor to have "Red Alert" as apart of the event said CEO and Founder Kingsley Osei".

Who is Red Alert? one of the first deejays to perform with the architects of hip hop Universal Zulu Nation. He built his radio show's fan-base by shouting out to listeners within the Tri-State area. Red Alert has been noted for breaking in such acts and artists as A Tribe Called Quest, Queen Latifah, and Black Sheep.[3] Red played a vital role in The Bridge Wars beginning in 1986. His legend grew immensely after being the first deejay to break the record South Bronx by Boogie Down Productions on his KISS-FM weekend radio show and club gigs in support of the Bronx-based hip hop group versus MC Shan, Marley Marl, and the Juice Crew.

Kool DJ Red Alert is a pioneering hip hop deejay who is heavily responsible for the emergence of rap music on the radio airwaves during the early eighties. He is a beacon of excellence among deejays worldwide, and as a radio personality who rose to fame on his legendary mix-show “Red Alert Goes Baserk” on New York’s KISS 98.7 FM (formerly WRKS), which first aired in 1983. Red is of West Indian descent by way of Antigua and is credited as the first deejay to spin dance-hall music on his FM radio. He also holds the record for the most appearances by a deejay in over 50 rap videos throughout his career, and is widely known for his signature drop “Yeeaaaaaahh!”
